Design & Remodel Process
The type and size of your project will determine the extent and time of the design process. On simpler projects we may be just assisting you with fixture and tile selections. On more complex projects, we could be redesigning the existing layout, moving walls, adjusting the flow pattern, etc. For every project the objective is the same, make it work for you with the exact right combination of aesthetics and functionality.
Process
Call us to discuss your interests, budget and schedule. We want to understand what you need and how we can best help you.
We’ll want to come to your house and have a detailed discussion of your ideas and objectives, we’ll want to see the space and construction details, and take plenty of notes, measurements and pictures.
We’ll work out an initial design concept and budget for your project. Often this will include a visit with our design staff to work out details of the layout, and to see various material options, for example cabinet, countertop materials, faucets, tile and the like.
We’ll then present you with a complete design concept or plans, scope of work and complete budget for the project.
This would be followed by further communication to refine design details and material selections.
All of this activity leads up to a decision to move forward,a contract, deposit to hold the schedule, and finalizing material selections.
Once the project is completely organized, the scheduling is finalized. The work is started and worked on continually until complete. A Lead Carpenter is assigned to your project and the schedule is blocked out for him to work through and complete the project.
There is a Project Manager assigned to your project whose responsibility it is coordinate the activity, supervise as required and also serves as an independent check on quality and construction standards.
Having company employees enables us to maintain good control on schedule and progress.
The work is completed, including any final inspections or reviews are done to ensure you are fully satisfied with the project.
