We decided to create not only a professional company, but one that a homeowner can go to for honest and competent advice on kitchen and bathroom design and remodeling, and not have to worry about being treated fairly or that the work is going to get done the right way. We really work hard to provide the best design ideas and remodeling installation service for kitchen and bath remodeling locally available to homeowners. We just don’t see the sense of doing it any other way. We have the talent to handle any level of kitchen and bath design and remodeling project.

What kind of work do you do?
We primarily do kitchen and bath design and remodeling, although will do other work connected with a kitchen and bath remodeling project. For example, if there are adjoining rooms or issues in the house that need to be addressed, we’ll do that while we’re there as well. We will remodel basements or other rooms in the house too.
We work in northern Virginia (Fairfax, City of Fairfax, Arlington, Alexandria, City of Alexandria, Sterling, Manassas, Dumfries) and the District of Columbia (NW, Capitol Hill area).
Are you licensed and insured?
We are licensed in Virginia (Class A Contractors) and all jurisdictions we work in. We maintain workers compensation and liability insurance.
Do you use subcontractors to do the work on your projects?
All of our work is performed by company employees unless permit requires a licensed trade (electric, plumbing, HVAC). There are also a few specialty items which are installed directly by the manufacturers to maintain warranties. Such items includes countertops and shower doors. We otherwise do not use subcontractors. All of our installer employees are experienced carpenters who take pride in their work. By performing all of our work in-house we are able to deliver to you the best quality workmanship, on-time and in-budget!
What factors influence the cost of a kitchen or bath remodeling project?
There are a few factors that influence costs. These would include: The size of the space, any change to the existing layout. For instance removing a wall, adding a knee-wall, etc. The cost is also affected by the materials selected. Each space is different and each homeowner has their own needs and desires. We take each job individually and work with you to create the perfect space for YOU! .
How long does it take?
You should plan on about three weeks for an average bathroom and six weeks for an average kitchen. A larger master bath or a kitchen with structural work will take longer. If there is a special circumstance, for example there is only one bathroomin the house, we can make special arrangements with the homeowner. When we are remodeling your kitchen we will also set-up a temporary, limited, space for you to use while your kitchen is under construction.
What if I experience a problem after the job is completed?
You would contact us and we would take care of the problem.
Do you offer a warranty on your work?
We provide a warranty on SELECT Kitchen &
Bath's workmanship for as long as you own your house. We offer first quality workmanship, which means construction free from any defect which affects appearance or use. Product defect is covered by the manufacturers of the various products used and is provided through separate written materials available through those manufacturers. We will assist you in dealing with normal wear and tear or other damage, however, this would be not be covered under our warranty.
What are your payment terms?
Payment terms usually involve a deposit to validate the contract and secure the schedule, an initial payment when the work is begun, progress payments during the course of the work and lastly a final payment when everything is complete.
Materials are paid for at time of order.
